BELTIE

Native to Dumfries and Galloway in South-West Scotland the Belted Galloway is instantly recognisable by its bold black coat and white belt. Once listed as rare, especially after 2021, the breed is now classified as ‘recovering’ and valued for conservation grazing and its contribution to biodiversity. This piece is part of an ongoing exploration of native British farm animals.

Cast in resin and finished in blue and white in a nod to her heritage, copies in bronze and alternative colours are also available.
