The Berkshire Sow, immortalised by P.G. Wodehouse in his Blandings Castle series of books, is the inspiration behind the creation of ‘The Little Empress’. Now on the ‘Endangered’ list with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST).

I wished to draw attention to the plight of these special animals by sculpting them at a different scale to life size, and using colour as a way of making people look and think about them.
